Thanks to a combination of futuristic sounds and post-industrial venues, the Festival quickly won a loyal following. From the start, its organisers wanted to present the most interesting phenomena in contemporary music, on the borderline between jazz, electronics and dance; they sought to show that music that is practically absent from the Polish media could attract a large audience of music fans from all over Poland and Europe to Katowice.
